How do i turn off the "also try" bar when i use yahoo to search?

i edited preferences but its still there.

it is extremely irritating, if there isn't a way to turn it off, i'll start using google.

I turned it off by clicking the "Disable" link at the bottom of the dropdown menu and haven't seen Search Suggestions since. (This works for the search box on the Yahoo! home page: http://www.yahoo.com/ )

You can also disable it from the "More" menu above the search box.

Edit: I might have misunderstood your question as I rarely use Yahoo! Search. Are you talking about the line above the actual search results, next to the light bulb? You can't get rid of that.

So use Google. It's a better search engine anyway.
