i dont know about friendster, but myspace you do this code:

< font color=blue>your text< /font>

you can change blue to whatever you want (like pink, or red or whaetver), or you can go to a color chart and put the numbers in where it says blue.(gives you diffrent shades of colors)

***you erase the spaces between the first "<" and "font" and between the last "<" and "font"
