Yea I know I'm at work to work but I'm bored and would like to check my facebook and myspace. Does anyone know if there is a way to unblock a website? I work from a Dell Latitude D630 (laptop). When I try to get to facebook or myspace, I get an error stating that the website is blocked. Any advice?

  1. maybe the website of facebook and myspace was thoroughly blocked by your system!!!

    well to see this open

    "C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts...

    use notepad in opening it!

make sure it is similar to this:

    --------------------------------------...

    # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.

    #

    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.

    #

    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each

    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should

    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.

    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one

    # space.

    #

    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual

    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.

    #

    # For example:

    #

    #      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server

    #       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host

    127.0.0.1       localhost

    --------------------------------------...

if not remove the sites after "127.0.0.1       localhost"

coz that is the blocked sites!!

if this doesn't help, try using a proxy server!!

visit http://www.zend2.com and type the blocked sites URL

and make sure you enable the cookies!!

    Good Luck

    :D

  2. Websites like

    http://www.hidemyass.com/

    should fool most siteblocking systems

  3. There are free web proxies that are usually used to get access to blocked sites. The ones I use:

    http://irogue.info

    http://thehole.info

    http://blackwire.org

    http://notrack.info

    http://icloak.info

Sorry for the advertisement - these are my proxies actually but yes, they are cool looking enough to forgive the amount of ads on them :)

Have a nice time surfing at work! :)

  4. there is a web unblocker on http://www.download.com/The-Unblock-Webs...

    that should do it.
