  1. HERE IS HOW CLEAN INSTALL IS DONE

1.- make back-up of all yr hard drive

2.- reformat hard drive (warning: you will loose all data on yr hard drive)

    3.- re-install operating system from dvd/cd

4.- re-install back from back-up programs you need and want to be on yr re-formated hard drive

    that is it

you can not just uninstall operating system - it is uninstallable - it is coded that way so someone can not do it by mistake

  2. With the ststem installation CD, or if you have pre-loaded window search for 'sysprep'

  3. put your OS disk in the computer and boot from it. (turn your computer on with the disk already in)

It should give u the option to boot from disk

and from the menus you should be able to "format" your harddrive and install a fresh copy.

  4. Wipe your hard drive, then re-install your OS again.

  5. your desktop/laptop should have come with a selection of recovery disks.  insert the discs and reboot the computer, selecting CD/DVD drive as the booting location at BIOS.  follow the instructions which follows and it should allow you you wipe the OS clean.  Make sure you keep any backups before hand as it will be unrecoverable once written over.

  6. RTFM.

Read the computer user manual and look for "System Recovery", "Re-install Windows", or a similar phrase, for full instructions.

Still stuck?  Call the PC manufacturer's tech support line.

  7. Insert the OS cd into your computer and turn your computer on. It should give you the option to boot from the cd by pressing any key. If this option is not given, you will have to go into your BIOS, then over to where it says "Boot" and make sure your CD-ROM is the first thing that is looked at. (Read the side panel in the BIOS for directions on how to move the places of your devices.) Once this is done, press the Esc key on your keyboard and save the changes you've made.

Your computer will restart and it should give you the option to boot from the cd. After pressing any key, follow the instructions on the bottom of your screen.

Be aware that when doing a clean installation, all your files will be erased and also all of your drivers so make sure you make a back-up of anything that you want. If anything, you can get the drivers from the manufacturer's website. (Ex: dell.com, gateway.com, etc.)

    Hope this helped :)

  8. it's very simple. insert the os cd and restart your computer. when the computer restart, keep pressing F1. it'll take u to a screen where it asks you which part of the cpu would u like to start in safe mode. press enter on the one that says CD-Rom. and your os cd should start running
