How do i unzip the wireless driver.exe in ubuntu ?

no links just somebody tell me how to get the needed files out and i can take it from there

  1. Are you trying to extract the files to use it for ndiswrapper?  (If you are trying to actually "run the program to install the dirvers" it won't work...)

    If it's simply a self-extracting archive, try opening it with ark

    If it's a full-fledged install program, you will probably need to "run" it on a windows machine, where it will extract itself into the c:\temp directory (most likely) then grab your inf files and the drivers from the temp directory, then cancel the install.


  2. You can't use windows driver on ubuntu, if you want to use windows driver you will need to recompile the kernel and use ndiswrapper with it.

    anyway to go to terminal and do

    unzip filenamehere.zip

  3. A .exe is a windows executable file. Chances are you already have the drivers in Ubuntu and you're taking unnecessary steps.
