i have a dell pc that has windows xp os. the office programs are all 2003. i want to download global ime for office xp(this is what it does

Use the Microsoft Global Input Method Editor for Office XP (Japanese) to input Japanese text in your documents, worksheets, presentations, mail messages, publications, and Web pages. )

when i save the file and try to run it, it says i need office xp. so i download the Office XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) and when that didnt work the Office XP Update: Service Pack 2 (SP2) but it says the expected on of the product weren't found in my system. so i download the The 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1) and it says there are no products affected on my system. what do i need to do to get the japanese program to work? how do i update my office from 2003 to xp?

  1. you need to buy it from like a computer store or your local staples or best buy. its around 200 dollars, but its worth every penny

  2. Office 2003 is newer than Office XP.

Because you have Office 2003 with Windows XP, you don't need the global IME for Office XP to type in Japanese.  Instead, use the IMEs in Windows XP.  See:

  3. 2003 is newer then Office XP  You need to find the software for office 2003 on microsofts website.  As I have NO clue what you're doing, I dont know where to look.
