How do i upload a windows movie maker vid onto youtube?

im makeing a sims 2 vid on movie maker and i have no clue how to get it on youtube once i tried but it said i need to change the format od somthing can someone help?

When you have Windows Movie Maker opened, on the left side of the screen, there will be a few options. Near the bottom its says "Publish" then it says I believe: PC, Web, Bog I'm not sure. Click on PC (I'm sure of that.) Go through the steps and you should have saved the movie in a avi. wav. or something else. Go to youtube, sign in, click on upload, and edit video title, then click next, and last look for your video that you saved on your PC. Cick upload.

Your done!!

I'm guessing you went to File> Save as... DON'T DO THAT! You will only get a MSWMM file, which isn't a movie file, but the WMM Project file.

Instead, go to the task bar on the left and under the heading Finish Movie, choose save to computer. From there just choose whatever format you need.

Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...

Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..

The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.

--for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

1. When you are finished editing the video, go to the file menu and select "Save Movie File". Your computer will now convert the video to the correct format.

2. Log unto http://www.youtube.com

3.Directly beside the search bar on the home page is a yellow tab "Upload", click on that.

4. You need to first enter the information of your video; title / description / genre or content / tags

5. You may edit Broadcasting and Sharing options by clicking their corresponding links beside these options

6. When finished click the "Upload Video" tab and select the file from the folder in which it has been saved in you computer (e.g. My Videos)

7. When your video has been selected, click on the "Upload Video" tab underneath.

8. You may have to wait 20 minutes for the video to upload, so do not temper with the window in which the upload is occurring. You will also need to give YouTube administration some time to approve your video.

In Movie Maker, on the Saving My Movie section to your left, click save to computer. It will save it as a WMV file which you can go to YouTube and upload.
