How do i upload my video from my camcorder to my computer using a usb wire ?

the problem might be that i taped it instead of using memory card ? when i hook it up, it only lets you upload picture from your camcorder, not your videos.

Since you neglected to tell us the make & model of your camcorder or the make & model &  OS of your PC you don't have many options!! Consult your manual!! There is a whole section devoted to your answer!! If you don't have one, you should be able to download one from the manufacturers support site.

assumed that you have a miniDV vcam, more likely...

ur miniDV vcam must be FIREWIRE400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* software while vcam is ON PLAYBACK.  Note: DV or Firewire port of vcam is 4pin. Before cable purchase** (Vcam/4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC (4/ 6pin?), check firewire port of PC whether 4 or 6 pin. If none, procure firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia for laptop.

2. Edit- drag/drop video files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles

3. Finish (render)- save Movie file, also save Project* ** file

4. Share-burn to CD (if DvD, thru a DvD authoring app like DvD Flick, Nero, etc.)
