We have 1800 gallon pool; i got a floating disp which appears to be adjustable but isn't marked with guidelines. The user guide said to use 1" tabs which i have as well as a test kit. Question is..once I pop the tab into the floating thing, how long before i can test and we can swim? Immediately? 2 hours? I have no idea! Thanks in advance!!

  1. personally i would test late in the evening put the tab in if needed and leave till the morning that way the chlorine will disperse over night so if your kids want to use the pool first thing then it is no problemo

  2. Using 1 x 1" tab isn't going to disperse much chlorine at any one time so you could use it and swim at the same time.  Most pools are pumping chlorine into the water while swimmers are in the water.  Check the chlorine level before getting in, my bet is it will not get very high with that amount of chlorine.  I understand your confusion with the directions.  You will probably have to do some water testing throughout the day to see how it effects the water and figure out what is best.
