How do i use Amazon to purchase things? very confusing!?

I am from Australia, not sure if using amazon is safe, considering all prices are in UK or American dollar, secondly i can't figure it out... I know how to search and find what i want but i cant seem to figure out how to contact the seller or how much postage would be if i were to purchase something... and everytime i click on product that i want i get another link and click on that and it takes me else where.... Help im an Amazon dummy... its not as easy as Ebay thats for sure...

Amazon is safe, but you have to have an account and a credit card.....check for a spot to log in and register!...

well first of all, if you chooce to buy a new product from amzon, you are buying directly from amazon.com not an individual seller like on ebay. To calculate shipping, you will need to enter in your billing/shipping address cause you can only order off of either the US or UK site.

If you choose to buy from a seller (ie used) then since most sellers are located in the US, some may not ship to australia.

For example, if you are trying to buy a HDMI 2M (6 Feet) Super High Resolution Cable used. You would type in "HDMI 2M (6 Feet) Super High Resolution Cable" into the search bar and on the product description page, there will be two prices one price will say buy new (as in buy from amazon.com) or buy used (as in buy from a seller, like on ebay) if you click on buy used, you will be brought to a new page that lists all the sellers, prices, the quality (ie used, new,k good, etc) you will also see the sellers name, their rating, comments about the item etc. If you click on the sellers name, you get a more detailed page that shows a breakdown of the sellers ratings on the left and on the right hand side you will see a bunch of other information. If you scroll down, you will see the words contact seller.

Keep in mind that there are two wasy to buy. If you buy from amazon.com, they will send you confirmation e-mails (just like buying from any other website) they will also have a customer serice that is avialable by phone or e-mail too.
