How do i use a samsung dvd sh853m?

Hi how do i record on a this dvd recorder every time i put in a disc it says ( this cannot either be played or recorded on i have been out and bought new dvds and it still says that many thanks for any help

By reading the instructions before any thing else. lol

Plug it in, switch on, put disk in, select channel, press record, swear if you recorded wrong channel.

are you using the right dvd disks???

you might need the right format

dvd-r or dvd+r or dvd-r/ r w or dvd+r re write
