  1. Steve,

Catching fish on jigs is not a hard thing to do. You do need to practice at this to build your confidence and the fish will follow. Choose jigs or jig heads in the 1/16 - 1/8 oz. range. This size is perfect for panfish and small bass. You can start out with the Mr. Twister type curltailed bodies in white or chartreuse about 1 inch long. I have had tremendous luck using this type of jig and it is my "go to" bait when I really want to catch some fish. It's that good. You need to use light line 4 lb. test and a spinning rod. Cast out around brush piles, downed trees, grass beds and lily pads. Let the bait sink near the bottom and pull the rod back slowly around 12 inches, drop the rod tip while reeling in the slack and continue this motion all the way back. It won't be long before you're catching fish like a pro. Hey, check out the free report at : www.flounderbytes.com . It has more info that you may find useful. Tight lines and keep practicing.

  2. I agree with Flounder (again) - jigs and panfish can be a lot of fun and it's cheap....

  3. 1/18 oz is good for most light line but 1/32 oz is the best and live bait is the best because the scent but the closest to it would have to be food source without a doubt the closest because it is small and biodegradeble just for tipping light jigs...chartreuse is the best than yellow than white
