  1. just got to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office and look for word and double click it

  2. Here's how to recreate the shortcut if it's not in your recycle bin.

    1. Open a Windows Explorer (My Computer) window and navigate to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office directory.

    2. Click Search and look for winword.exe.

    3. When you find it, right-click on it and drag it to the desktop.

    4.     Select Create Shortcuts Here.

    Hope that helps.

  3. go to start, ms office, word and right click it and click on send to and desktop(create shortcut) and this will put a shortcut onto the desktop

  4. go to start < microsoft office < word.

  5. Go into My Computer>C drive>Program Files>Microsoft Office. Now what number of office you click on will depend on the version---2003 is Office 11; 2007 is Office 12, etc.  Click on that folder.  Inside that folder will be a blue icon towards the bottom that says Word or Windword on it.  That will start up MS Word.

You can always right-click that icon and make a shortcut anywhere; if you want it on the desktop, you can even right-click, select Send To>Desktop (shortcut) if you want an easy way to make an icon on the desktop.
