How do i use my ps3 online?

i have a lap top and i have a broadband card, would i be able to go on-line? or do i have to buy something else or what? please help

You need to connect your ps3 to a modem through an ethernet cable. You can also try connecting it wirelessly if you have a wireless modem, but I've found that it's more difficult that way, as problems can arise causing the connection to not work. Ethernet cables don't cost much and it's much more efficient, so long as your modem and ps3 aren't very far apart.
