How do i use the poke radar in diamond?

ive tried using it wen i wuz in the short grass. its fully charged and ive never used it before.

in the menu go to bag to key items, register it then exit the menus stand in a patch of grass and press y then to use it again WALK 50 steps and continu da cycle

Just walk into a patch of grass, use the radar, and look for moving patches of grass. If you walk into the moving grass you start a battle. If you defeat the Pokemon more grass will fumble around. Keep repeating until grass stops moving. Walk or run for battery to charge then start the process all over again. Happy Walkings! :D

to use the pokeradar, first of all, you have to go a patch of short grass, not the long one or the marsh ones. then, use the item. but it oly works if you stand on the grass and you are not riding a bikecycle because that's how it works. then using the item, the patches of grass will shake and go to the ones that shake. a wild pokemon will appear. after you used it, walk around for 50 more steps and use it again. the poke radar is used to hunt rare pokemon.
