How do i wire 2 kicker comp vr subs in a single box to an amp at 4 ohms. At 800 rms will i need a capcitor?

i have a 96 escort lx. also what gauge wire should i use?

  1. You can get away with no capacitor but you lites will probably dim to the music a little when its really bumping. For the speaker wire use at least 10GA. For the amp run 8 GA.. It depends on the amp on how you should wire the speakers. being the speakers are in one box you should wire them mono (1 channel). Kickers are great speakers if your amp is bridgeable, bridge it. The more power to your kickers the better.  Depending on the size of your kickers 800 watts should do. I would recommend more like 800 watts per speaker for most kickers for the best punch.

    For a amp kit i recommend larger than a 8 ga. i have 700 watts and ran 4 ga. i recomend the same for you.
