Bought an ac unit yesterday guy told me it was only a couple years old.I got it home and it looks like a heater and ac combo. Its a unit like you would see in a motel room mounted to the wall with the end hanging outside the wall.reading off of plate on ac unit(v230/208v)Specs for cord connected unit.I have no clue what that means. It also has specs for perm connected unit. These are specs for cord connected unit.power supply kit rak301/15amps.rak 302/20amps.rak303/30amps.(Cooling) amp 6.5/6.9.amps.Watts 1380/1360.(heating)amp 9.0/8.2 at 1680/2050 watts.Amp 15.5/14.0 at 3550/2900 watts.Amp 22.2/20.0 at 5050/4140 watts. It says use time delay or circuit breaker.I currently have a 24,000 btu unit sitting in the window now that burnt up on me after 2 years of use.I have a heavy duty 220 wire running down the side of my trailer. Its approx 30 to 40 ft long.I have it hooked to a 30Amp breaker. Can i just unhook it and wire this unit i just bought and be ok or do i need to rewire everything? Thanks

  1. Well since you have a 30amp breaker on #10 wire and the max amp draw is 22.2 you should be ok.I'd give it a go but then I would not buy a 20 yr old unit (even free)

  2. I you have to ask, then you had better just call a professional electrician.
