How do i wire electric start on a manual start motor?

its a 1975 20 hp mercury..........how do i wire up a starter..........do i need a solenoid.......it has the bracket........but thats it. i can get parts for it........i just dont know what i need?

The cost to do this is far beyond the value of the motor,but you should be able to purchase the kit from a Dealer.The kit would have a wire harness,starter,solenoid.stator,and possibly a new flywheel.

   I would consider trading up to a newer model with electric start,you will save big$$$$.

you need to bypass, you should take it to a shop to install, its danger for some one who dont know what they doing try to install remote start on a manual car
