How do i wire my Pioneer Premier DEH-P400UB (cd receiver) into my 2000 Nissan Xterra?

i took out the old stereo in the car and the wires dont exactly fit into the same plug on the pioneer. should i cut the wires and atach them to the pioneer ones... and if so which ones to which one? thanks!

i wouldnt cut them just buy a wiring harness it plugs into the stock radio plugs and u connect the new wires to the radio heres the link.....   http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Brand-New...
