How do i work on my agility, and speed?

I would like to know some ways that i could work on my agility and my speed.

P.S how long do u all think it would take to create my own Martial Art if i could.

  1. well you should do some ladder drills and try running with some resistance like a mini parachute. when you run dont just jog try to sprint more. and jumping exercises.


  2. A school that a friend of mine attends has its students wrap an elastic cord around a pole, and work on their punches with the resistance of the cord.  after they do this for a long time, their punches are very fast.

    Sparring is a great way to work on both agility and speed, and if there is somebody that you practice with, you can have him or her attack you and let you work on dodging.

    just keep training, and whenever you practice, try to go as fast as you can with your kicks, punches, etc.  and with the goal of speed in mind, you will eventually become as fast as bruce lee

    as for your second question... it takes a very long time.  the grandmaster of my current school developed his own martial arts after over 20 years of intense martial arts training in various disciplines.  he then went into the mountains and lived in isolation for 3 years developing his philosophies and techniques of martial arts.

    if you want to develop your own style of martial art, you need to gain experience in multiple styles, which will take many years of training.
