How do i work out how many squares my house plan is?

just roughly drawn our house plan and would like to work out how many squares it is (australia) but dont know the mathematical formula for it.

Polar offers the correct method, and if measured from the exterior that will give you a general sq. ft (M) total. That won't strictly equate to actual, usable, living space, but will be within a range you can use, for your intent.
