how do i wright 783,216,000 in scientific notation?

    When you express a number in scientific notation (X * 10^Y), X has to be greater than or equal to 1 and less than 10, which is why the first part is 7.83216.

    As for finding the power of 10, just change the number into 1 followed by zeros (and make it the same number of digits), then count the zeros.  You end up with 8 zeros, so the power is 10^8.
