How do i write a great book report?

i have to write a book report on a book named "balzac and the little chinese seamstress" Im in ninth grade and haven't written a book report since i was in 6th grade so i've kinda forgotten the basics in writing one so...can you help me just tell what i need to put into it please and thank you

  2. Open with something that grabs attention (A quote, fact, or exciting line of the story.) Be sure the opening has a thesis statement. Your report should follow this statement throughout.

    Your body should include important parts of the story, comparissons to real life or other texts, etc. Don't just tell what happens.

    Make sure your report closes, not just ends. Tie up loose ends, and refer back to your thesis.

    add in my own stuff

    replaces words here and there.

    gets me an a every time.
