How do i write my friends email address ?

hello my friends email is part name and part number well after his name is this - but its below his last letter of his name and i have tried everything on my keybord and still cannot find out how to do it could someone out there please help i would be most gratefull as you can guess i have only had my computer since may so i am new to all this thank you
