  1. You could write it like this:

    1

    -

    2

But sometimes the spaces get eaten.

  2. I dont think you can can you?

  3. maybe use decimals..?

  4. There is a special feature in Word for writing equations, it is possible that you don't have it installed but it must be in the installation package. When you open your Word, in the help section search for "insert an equation" and there everything is explained about how to insert an equation. When you insert such object, there is an option for a divide line and many many more things, practically everything you can think of :)

  5. Do you mean like:

    Alt 0188 ¼

    Alt 0189 ½

    Alt 0190 ¾

Oh, I know what you mean. I don't know if you've seen it somewhere, but it's called LaTeX. It's a markup language that some sites use to render things in math that you can't normally do. Like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Displa...

It only works on a server that has AMS-LaTeX, which is the version of LaTeX that is used for mathematical formulas.

Edit: No, I'm wrong again, NOW I realize what you're looking for. The link below explains how to insert an equation. Click the + next to "How" on the page for instructions on how to install the MS Equation Editor.
