How do i write this letter? or document?

Question

i hit another car last night and i agreed to pay for the repairs w/o going through insurance so how do i write a letter saying i paied for the repairs?

You really don't want to do this. These situations often turn bad.

But if you insist on doing it, you don't want a letter. If you have paid for the damages then you want the other vehicle owner and driver (if they are two different people) to sign a "release" form.

This form basically states two things;

1. That you have paid the agreed upon price and

2. That the other owner/driver can not come back after you later for other costs.

what you are doing is dangerous.  Let your insurance company pay and let them and let them protect you from any future claims for this accident.   Why have insurance if you don't/won't use it ?
