How do iget marriage certificate?

dear frnds i gor married six months ago and now i wanna a marriage certificate in order to get my wifes name at my ration card so what to do to obtain a marriage certificate.

go to the marriage department to apply

You have to go to nearest MCD office and apply with proofs!

You should register your marriage in sub-registrar office.

You can register your marriage in any one of the following three sub-reg offices:

1. Residence of husband

2. Residence of wife

3. Area where marriage (solemnization) took place.

You need to have proof for the following:

1. Address proof (of your's and your wife's)

2. Age proof

3. Marriage proof (Either invitation or Photo)

With the above documents, you need three other people to sign as witnesses.

In case it has been registered you will obtain the same from the authorities concerned.

In the case of solemnised by church or other religious authorities obtain from them .

In the absence of above formalities get the registration from local bodies concerned for approval of the status .
