  1. Your son needs to apply at http://fafsa.ed.gov

  2. http://www.ed.gov/programs/fpg/eligibili...

This is the official federal site for pell grants.

  3. they have grants for buckets?

  4. The easiest way, is to go to the financial aid center at the college. They would be able to help him apply for grants as well as scholarships, loans, and anything else that might help.

  5. Learn to spell it correctly for starters.  It is a PELL grant, and all accredited schools have the paperwork in the Financial Aid office.

  6. sure u dont mean pell grant? any college grant info should be available to you at the college itself.

  7. You and your son will go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out your fafsa. this is the official site for grants. This is a free application so never pay or enter a credit card number.

You will want to have your and your sons 07 tax return, if you guys filed, handy when you fill it out, because it will ask you question directly off of them.

Also go to www.pin.ed.gov for both you and your son to get a pin number. The pin number is how you both will electrically sign the fafsa.

A week after his fafsa is submitted check in with the financial aid office to make sure they have receieved it and to see if their is any additional information they need from you.

Then sit back for the next 3-4 weeks, because they are going to process his application to see if he is elegible for the Pell Grant and other types of grants, institutional money, workstudy and loans. In the mean time he can go ahead and get registered for classes.

  8. collegeboard.com or org. something like that
