How do illegal immigrants get welfare?

I assume you have to be in this country legally to get any welfare. So they must be scamming the system. How do they scam the system? That's what I'm wondering.

The only difference that you and I have to produce credible identification. Most welfare departments, in most cities, are filled with bleeding heart sympathetic liberals who are told in some case to pander to the illegals in this country.

So please just shut up and pay you dam taxes!

Undocumented Immigrants don't receive any kind of government assistance. Being a US citizen is a requirement to qualify for welfare. Kids born in the US from Mexican parents are American and qualify for assistance, but not the parents.

EDIT: I have no idea how the gangbanger "Nora" knows that they're undocumented, did she ask them for their identification and follow them around.

You can't open a bank account with out a valid passport and visa or citizenship.

I was just having this convo with a friend ( illegal btw ) I don't care if their citizen kids get help BUT not them. Those programs are for citizens. A felon here can't get help if they're a citizen so neither should they. A citizen that illegally obtains help goes to prison for 10 years illegals get a ride home. I cry FOUL. I don't care if they're here but pay your way don't look for handouts!

I've never seen them on food stamp cards.......

mostly WIC for their children.. their children being born here makes those kids citizens.

If they have children here, their children are automatically American citizens.  The benefits that they receive are for their children (the CITIZENs) so they receive benefits the same way the other Americans do.

h**l that's something i've always wanted to know myself because whenever you apply for something at social services they always ask for your social security number (and i know this for a fact because i used to be an intern at my local SS services)

so....they probably use a fake SSN...wait...i KNOW some of them do because if the government does their job they can catch them doing it, which is what happened sometimes when i was there

I was in SHOCK when I moved to California and found out how openly 'illegal' immigrants live. I thought they'd be skulking around street corners, living at homeless missions or with legal relatives already here. It is not like that at all.

They open bank accounts, go to the hospital, enroll their foreign-born kids in school, rent or buy houses with utilities in their own names. And they just go to the welfare office and sign up for emergency assistance and health cards openly for themselves and their children.

It's truly amazing!
