Im thinking of getting an inflatable kayak because i have a very small car and cant transport a rigid kayak.

I am fairly new to kayaking and my other half has past experience (10 years ago) so any info on inflatables that anyone can give would be great.

Which is the best inflatable to get (were on a £200 buget)

Are singles easier than doubles?

Are inflatables worth it to start with?

  1. Imagine an inflateable kayak as a toy and a rigid kayak as a performance boat. Talk with other kayakers. You should not have a problem mounting a kayak on your car. Agan, talk with a dealer. Singles are easier to paddle than doubles! You have to cooperate with another paddler. An inflateable may be great for some occasional water fun. They don't respond directly to control strokes as they will tend to bend or flex. Try renting one from an outfitter.

  2. do not get an inflatable kayak they are complete jokes. if you really want a boat save up for a month or Wat ever. if you get a inflate you will be sick of it in a week, you will lose races with ducks with a inflatable.
