  1. yes leave them in the bag so that the water in it can warn up to the same tempter as what's in your tank, then slowly release them. The time their in the bag should make the other fish become used to them.

  2. just leave the fish in the bag floating in the tank for 30 mins to acclimatize to the water temp and then just open the bag and let it swim out. they usualy swim down to the bottom 1st while they get use to there new surrondings but are soon swimming with the rest.

  3. You acclimate the new goldfish and introduce him after the existing goldfish has been well fed to try and curve any aggression. If you have a light on the tank you can likely stop them from fighting by turning it off, if they do fight.

  4. Put the fish into the tank but still in the bag you got them in and let them rest in the bag in the water for about 20 minutes. Then let some of the water from the tank into the bag so that they get used to the temperature and leave it for another 10 minutes. Then you ca let the fish out of the bag and into the water.

    Hope this helped!

  5. Just be polite, tell them each others names and ask them to shake hands - maybe arrange a meeting time for coffee so they can get too know each other?

    (Sorry, couldn't resist!    :-))

  6. quarantine your new goldfish first as to not bering any illness into your tank, after a 4 week quarantine, you can introduce them, hours before you put them in take a few cups of your main tank water and put it in the quarantine tank to get them used to the water, make sure the tanks are matching temperature, turn the filter off (i did anyway) then put them in, watch for a while for signs of agression, turn the filter back on.

your old goldfish may chase your new goldfish around for about 5 minutes at first, as long as they're not physically touching it and it doesn't go on for more than a few minutes let them do it, it's kinda their way of saying "what the heck is that!?"

    good luck =]
