  1. Invading species are always more resistant. they can survive in odd conditions also. They  struggle for existence so they can harm endangered species&affect our life also.

  2. I think your real question is "why should I give a d**n?"  ~lol~

I'm a small farmer (permaculture) in Idaho.

We have Mountain Blue Birds around here...a completely GORGEOUS native bird.  Here's a link to a picture, so you can see how pretty they are:

House sparrows are an invading species.  They come from England.

Here's a link to a picture of one:

House sparrows are extremely agressive birds.  They will invade the nest boxes of Mountain Blue Birds, and kill the chicks, AND kill any adult Mountain Blue Birds they find in the nest.

House sparrows will sit on the edge of my water troughs all day long.  The p**p constantly into the water of my livestock.  They also drown in my water troughs.  They spread disease to livestock, via all the p**p they deposit in water troughs.  They take the p**p from their young chicks still in the nest, and "hide" it in water troughs.

I can have a few POUNDS of bird droppings in my trough every single day.  Every time a farmers livestock is hit by disease he has to charge the customer more money for his meat.  Do you eat meat?  Then house sparrows affect YOU.

House sparrows also fly by the thousands into wheat, barley, and sunflower fields.  Flocks of them eat hundreds of pounds of grains at a time.  This of course affects the pocketbook of farmers.  In turn the farmer much charge more for his grain and seeds.  Do you ever eat wheat products, or munch on sunflower seeds?  Then house sparrows affect YOU.

Mountain Blue Birds eat insects, and some native berries.  They are a very benificial bird for farmers.  I have yet to see a Mountain Blue Bird drink out of a water trough (so they are not deficating in them).

So that is just how a single one of them is affecting YOUR personal life.  I could go on and on, with many examples of them and how they are affecting you personally....invasive birds, fish, mammals, plants and insects.  Trust me, they are hitting your wallet....you just don't know it.

  3. Some invading species consumes or outcompetes native species (which becomes endangered)... unfortunately for us, these native species are often there for a reason.

For example, these native species may control the population of disease bearing insects, or are aiding the pollination of important foodcrops.

When the native species goes extinct, we may become faced with an unprecedented disease outbreak, or famine due to failure of foodcrop harvests.

It is also possible that an inedible invading plant outcompetes an edible native plant, and therefore reducing our food supply.
