  1. They are carnivorous

They kill prey that strays into the stinging cells in their tentacles. They then pull the prey to thier digestive organs.

They reproduce by releasing eggs and sperm into the ocean and they the two meet in the open sea, from which a jellyfish larva will develop

  2. (1)(2)Most jellyfishes are passive drifters that feed on living or dead preys:

small fish, eggs, zooplankton and other invertebrates that become caught in their

tentacles. Preys are brought (by tentacles, if they have any) into the cavity, called

coelenteron, where it is digested. Jellyfishes have an incomplete digestive system,

meaning that the same o*****e is used for both food intake and waste expulsion.

Jellyfishes have cells called cnidocytes, which contain nematocysts, and located usually

on their tentacles, mainly. Whenever a prey comes in contact with cnidocytes, hundreds

to thousands of nematocysts' filaments are ejected into the prey's direction. These

stinging cells are thus able to latch onto the prey, and the tentacles, or the oral arms

(manubrium) bring the prey item into their mouth for digestion.

    (3)Jellyfishes are carnivores.

(4)Jellyfish reproduction involves several different stages. In the adult, or medusa,

stage of a jellyfish, they can reproduce sexually by releasing sperm and eggs into the

water, forming a planula. In this larval stage of jellyfish life, the planula hooks on to

the bottom of a smooth rock or other structure and grows into another stage of jellyfish

life, the polyp--which resembles a miniature sea anemone. During this stage, which can

last for several months or years, asexual reproduction occurs. The polyps clone

themselves and bud, or strobilate, into another stage of jellyfish life, called ephyra.

It is this form that grows into the adult medusa jellyfish.

(5)The jellyfish sting actually comes from tiny nematocysts, or stinging cells, on the

jellyfish body. When triggered, these cells eject poison-tipped barbs that help the

jellyfish catch food in the ocean. The nematocysts can still release their sting even

after the jellyfish is dead. In most jellyfish, these stinging cells are so small that

they can't penetrate human skin.fascinating fact about jellyfish is that they don’t have

any brain, heart, bones or eyes. Some jellyfish has ways of detecting obstacles that can

be compared to sight but they don’t have real eyes. It is a mystery how they can process

the information from their “sight” since they doesn’t have any brain. They react directly

on food and danger stimuli via nerve impulses without having any brain to process the

impulses. Another fact about jellyfish and their bodies is that the bodies are over 95%

    water.

    hope this helps you............

  3. Well they are carnivores, I know that much. They eat whatever gets caught in their tentacles (fish, shrimp, etc.) and somehow eat that.
