1. Their nervous system acts as a "brain" of sorts. It allows them to react to stimuli.

  2. jellyfish are part of philum cnidaria. At the most primitive cnidaria(hidrozoars) the nervous sistem is called a diffuse nervous sistem: it has multipolar neurons on the surface of it's body()kinda resembles the Meisner and Auerbach plexes of the stomach). here we find the simplest reflex in the animal kingdom. The nervous system in jellyfish(scifozoars) is more complex because it is concentrated more on the region of the umbrella. So they do not a brain, but they have brain cells and they are organised well enough to fulfill the needs of these creatures...

Now, blood and heart. Simple: jellyfish are diploblasts. They have only 2 layers of cells. The digestion takes place in the gastral cavity and the food gets absorbed through there. The nutrients get to the exterior layer through diffusion. So they do not need blood or a heart.

  3. The same way that we on Y!A do.

  4. chemicals

  5. they may not have a brain but they kinda funtion like plants they react to stimuli(anything that causes a reaction) with a nervous system. if a fih swims into their tenticles the nervous system makes paralyzing toxinz and venoms.

if energy level is low the system makes it move like an umbrella through the water waiting for another fish to pass by

they really seem like plants if you look up their life cycle

  6. refelexes, if you think about humans a reflex is to drop say a hot pan when it burns us but usually our brain over-rides this, with jelly fish they dont have a brain to over-ride there reflexes.

    refelxes are adapted for survial.

and with a reflex it the electrical impulse dosnt go to your brain it goes to your cns.

  7. Function doe's not require thought, Jelly fish react to nerve stimuli and are not like predators that hunt.
