How do keep my guinea pig from getting food on his face?

I always give him a carrot and he always gets juice on his face. Is this normal?

if its LOTS and he is dribbling then he might have teeth problems.maybe his teeth have over grown.if this is the case then it might stop eating soon so keep an eye on him and any change of appetite.lots of grass is the key to good teeth.
