How do l erase the antivirus xp 2008 trojan. PLEASEEEE help

A new trick i learned was booting into safe mode and then remove it. Somehow that releases those malicious files tied to xp antivirus 2008. I learned that from http://www.pchubs.com/blogs/xp-antivirus... Hope that helps. I have been free from those popups for a month now.

Antivirus XP 2008 is a new rogue anti-spyware program that is advertised through Trojans and other malware. It is advertised in the form of fake security alerts and warnings on web sites that state you are infected with malware or are being attacked in some manner.

All you need to do is to download and update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and run it and then reboot.  You'll find the program to download in bleepingcomputer link.  Scroll down to "Automated Removal Instructions for Antivirus XP 2008 using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware:" and it's free to use.
