How do lessen the swelling of my swollen eye?

well my left eye started hurting 2 days ago, but it was nothing major it just kind of hurt wen i blinked. now this morning i woke up nad looked in the mirror - MY WHOLE EYELID WAS PINK AND SWOLLEN. its not pink eye because there was no crusty stuff i guess but idk should i put ice or heat on it? its not a stye but i do wear contacts and i do wear makeup. information / help please ?

it may be a stye though you may not think so.Do not wear your contacts until the swelling goes down and throw out your eye makeup.If you share it with friends it's possible they were infected and gave you what they had.

You may have to replace your contact also.

Another possibility is an insect bite.

Always cold for inflammation. And see a doctor.
