  1. They really exert heat.

  2. They do not, at least not directly.

All the electricity produced will eventually be converted in heat. And a light bulb does not release CO2, which is a greenhouse gas.

However, how one does get the required electricity produced in the first place can be a global warming issue.  If the power station is a coal or oil fuel plant, that plant releases CO2. Using a better light bulb -- like a compact fluorescent -- instead of an incandescent light bulb, would reduce the demand for electricity, and thus the power plant at the other end will not have to produce as much power, and will thus consume less coal or oil, and release less CO2.

  3. Hey, its not so much contibution. But they do since they generate heat.

  4. stand close to a bulb ( Not tube light ) you will feel the heat!!!! And there are millions of bulbs around the world. That might contribute little bit... The biggest concern is the green house effect which makes the heat to stay in the earth atmosphere instead of radiating out to the space...

  5. By increasing the adaptation level of the human-body.We can move to mountains from plains to secure oursevles from situations like floods.I have seen the Flim ''THE DAY AFTER TOMMOROW".
