At the party

he is asked

what is the secret

of such a long life.

Back bent by

so much

history;

his eyes are

July 4th

sparklers.

“I never did practice stoppin’ breathin’,

I expect I will soon enough.

Will you have a piece of my cake?”

They once interviewed my greatgrandmother who lived to be 106.  The guy asked her how she managed to live so long?  It was on her 105th birthday.  She told him on TV, " I just keep on breathin".  Loved the poem.

I love this one. S2 is very well written; you have some great images there.

The young and the old are priceless.  One knows not how words impacts, the other is at the age where he doesn't hide behind.  Well said.
