I'm always fascinated watching little lizards run around outside. And I feel so bad for them when hurricanes come. With rain wind and flooding, where can they hide that's safe?

  1. They survive the same way we do. They seek shelter. The difference is that shelter may be under the bark of a tree or under a rock or buried in a pile of wood chips.

  2. They don't really have any more security than we do at moments like these. Trees can be uprooted and bashed around and smashed open. Burrows can be flooded. Walls can fall and crumble and yes the poor lizards that are hiding in them die.
