How do medical school students for medical school? Do they need a co-signer?

I'm interested in applying for medical school, yet have no idea how I'll pay for it. My parents won't co-sign on account on the massive cost of med school. What now? How does a penniless student pay for med school?

They take out loans (federal loans don't require a co-signer), get scholarships or find another co-signer, the signer doesn't have to be your parents.
