How do microbes degrade synthetic dyes?

synthetic dyes are pollutantswhich are non-degradable. Are there any microbes to degrade them?

Yes but the Microbes are more harmfully then the Synthetic dyes themselves

In general bio-remediation will use bacteria that use the dye as an electron donator so in essence the bacteria metabolizes the dye. The microbes for a given waste need to be bred, or acclimated, to the waste stream.  If you start with a given strain that is already know to metabolize hydrocarbons, then that strain is incubated in such a way, with increasing doses, that overtime the strain can metabolize the dye.

The only problem is that the metabolite might be just as toxic as the original material.
