How do my chances of being a fireman in Vancouver look given the following physical characteristics?

I am 5'8 1/2", 155 lbs.

Of slim athletic build.

Of Asian/Pacific Islander ethnicity.

Too small to be a fireman?

No. I've seen real shrimpy guys as firemen. You aren't too small.

If my house was on fire, I want someone to respond, personally I don't care what you look like, so long as you bring knowledge and water.. If you can pass the endurance and physical tests, are eager and enthusiastic you will not have a problem.  We have a little female on our local fire department and she can drag hoses with the best of them. These men and women are a special breed, like law enforcement and the medical profession, for all they do in a community.....  good luck and thank you
