How do neon tetras breed?

if my neon tetras breed i want to take the other fish out for awhile. so i want to know what are some signs, and stuff. also what the eggs look like.

  1. Breeding neon tetras is very difficult.  You have to seperate the sexes, condition them, then breed them in a seperate tank because the tiny, tiny eggs that they lay are light sensitive and too much light will kill them.  Then you have to remove the adults so that the eggs can hatch without the adults eating them.  Then you feed the extremely tiny fry special food that will fit into their very, very tiny mouths.  Here is a website that discusses breeding neon tetras:
