How do offshore sportsbooks collect deposits from western union?

Every time I send a deposit it's to a different name, sometimes a different country. I can't believe that one person actually shows up at the western union office in say Peru to collect hundreds of deposits from players all over the world which are sent at all times of the day and night. Does anyone know how they get around it?

Interesting that you send deposits to a different name and different country, I think I would be a bit concerned that the receiver was legitimate.

As for how they do it, WU offers the ability to send money directly to an account, like a bank account, so there is no need to actually pick up the cash in person.

I wouldn't be concerned as another answerer suggests.  All online sportsbooks that accept WU do it the same way with agents in different countries actually getting the funds sent to them.  I'm not entirely sure how the companies go about collecting the funds, and I'm not sure I want to know. ;)
