How do onions reproduce?

i know... random question. but i have been wondering about this all year after were were learning about how flowers reproduce... but onions have no seeds...

  1. While I don't know the exact mechanism, I can tell you that onions do have seeds, as all angiosperms (flowering plants) do.


  2. The onion you eat is a modified stem, so that won't have seeds.  The onion plant will produce flowers and seeds though.
