How do people become discovered for fame?

Im just wondering how. is there like some secret website for movie auditions? Also does anyone know how i can get my writing discovered?

You are looking for acting and writing jobs for all the wrong reasons. Never EVER should you be trying to do a job solely to become famous! Acting and writing are both such hard careers that you will give up before celebrity status is even reached and will have wasted your time. So if you want to be an actor or a writer, do it because you love it and not for fame. (And besides the only people who are famous for not doing anything come from mega-rich families or get wasted everynight at clubs which is just sleazy)
