  2. In high school I knew a girl who was popular as a w***e.  I also knew a girl who was popular as a cheerleader.  I also knew people who seemed popular, or generally accepted, because of their inclusive personalities.  I guess that it depends on why or how you want to be popular.

    As for myself, I have never been popular and it hasn't seemed to destroy my life.
