How do people do those magic tricks?

i dont get it they dont really cut people in half but its look like it i dont get it any of them

There are many ways to appear that you have cut someone in half.  One way that i've seen is actually finding someone without legs.  Another way is supposedly cutting a person into say three non-see-through boxes on top of a large hollow box and the person can maneuver from one box to the other and stick his legs or arms or head out at the appropriate boxes.

Take one contortionist squeezed into half the saw box. Add one set of false legs in the other half or another contortionist in the other half if you want moving feet, saw and add applause. As is the case with most magic, the simplicity is what makes it seem so amazing.
