How do people get boxers to become famouse

i was wondering how some boxers go to the olimpics and represent their own counrty, like how do they get picked ? & who picks them ?

& also how do boxers become famouse too..?

In terms of becoming famous as a boxer, my thoughts would include not only winning but performing in a way that would distinguish you from other fighters.. For instance compiling so many KOs in record-breaking fashion or possessing a style or techinique that is not only perfect but can be matched by no other(s).. Lets not forget Sportsmanship and Charisma...both in and out of the ring.  All these elements along with a few others, can cause a fighter to be labelled as  famous, whether he/she is a champion or not. Fight-fan typically tend to gravitate to things that are new and unique in the fight-game.
